Description
Capturing this photo was the highlight of my safari. After waiting for about a half hour for her to pop up out of the grass, I was extremely lucky to capture this image. This lioness was about 2 football fields away from me. I was lucky to zoom in with my pocket camera, keep her in my sights and click the shutter all the while keeping my camera from shaking with the movement of the jeep.

Thank you again Marvin. Thanks too for the vote! I have always loved the big cats and to see them in the wild was truly humbling. The memory of waiting for this beautiful cat to pop up out of the grass and having my small pocket camera zoomed in on her & reacting instinctively to capture this image still brings tears to my eyes.
